Health education in schools
We visit secondary schools to talk with girls about puberty, periods, hygiene and staying safe, in plain words and without shame.
OrizonLeap Foundation · Benin City, Nigeria
We take clear, practical health education to young people. We’re starting in secondary schools with Her Health Matters: kind, honest answers for girls about their bodies, periods and health.

What we do
We’re a young foundation, so we’re starting with one thing and doing it well: helping girls in school understand and look after their health.
We visit secondary schools to talk with girls about puberty, periods, hygiene and staying safe, in plain words and without shame.
Before we visit, girls read our guide on their phones: 8 short topics, each a few minutes long, plus where to get help.
Outreach works best as a team. We want to work alongside schools, families and local health workers who know the girls we serve.

Our first programme
A school outreach for girls on periods, hygiene and sexual and reproductive health. Read the free guide before we visit, then bring your questions.
Simple, friendly and free for every school we visit.
